HS and the use of Ai

| What is the thinking behind this? I guess i will have to build and Ai to talk to an Ai just to see how long it will talk to each other before one says 73 LOL. When an Ai starts to answer my cq's then I have to question my use of HS. I don't see the point. Am I missing something here? I thought the fist time I encountered the bots I figured it was because an individual had a speech problem. However when the bot starts to answer my cq's after a time lapse I think 1 day then I knew something was up. What a waste of time. Just my 2 cents. I see a future contest in the making here. 24 hour seeking human contacts. ;-) | |

| I'm not a fan of it either. If I hear one of the AI's coming back to me, I'll just not answer back. There are times in Amateur radio when you simply don't get an answer. It happens more and more to me, especially on CW mode. I don't think having a bot answer you is a good practice. I could just have a qso with ChatGPT, lol.. another 2 cents. | |

| Il me semble que l'IA peut être un plus. Pour les nouveaux en DX, cela peut devenir un outil à écouter et à essayer pour bien assimiler les protocoles du DX. De plus, l'écouter peut permettre de se familiariser avec la langue de l'IA, et s'inspirer des mots utiliser est toujours un enrichissement. Il est vrai que pour les émérites et confirmés du DX, cela peut déranger, car l'IA est parfois insistantes, elle arrive à s'infiltrer dans un appel et casser le contact qui était en cours. Mon opinion, et cela n'engage que moi, l'IA est un bon outil, cependant, il doit être amélioré sur quelques points de défaillances, de part sa non logique humaine, font que l'IA est étranger au bon déroulement de certains contacts. A noter, que l'IA est également avare en retour carte QSL. Parfois, après contact, le retour QSL ne s'opère pas du tout. Donc, à améliorer, c'est certains. Mais me concernant, c'est un outil à préserver. 73 51. | |

Hamsphere users should have the ability to turn this feature off and on. I can see how it might be useful to train new operators on how to conduct a QSO or to get a QSO or two under their belt before embarking into real QSOs. But beyond that it is particularly annoying.
