9000th Check In to NARC.

The HamSphere North American Rag Chew net originally met on 40 Meters in the Summer and 60 Meters in the Winter. Then we started having detailed presentations from various operators from VOACAP, to Antennas, to History of Radio, to Kelly giving us his vision for HamSphere. For those presentations we moved to 2M. Reason for 2 Meters was so that our "distant" operators could take part and hear the presentation easily.

Then one of our Operators, Joe 2HS2265 asked why we did not simply stay on 2M, the request was made to Kelly and permission was granted, later we moved to 70CM were we operate today.

Because we had more than 3 or 4 check in it was decided to use Net Logger to track the log ins, this gave us a history of the net and it helped the Net Control Operator to run a smooth effective net. The very first entry in the Net Logger software was on January 27, 2017 as of the latest net, May 26, 2023 we have had our 9000th Check in. Our count currently stands at 9014 check ins. Thank you all who check in each week and take an active part in this net.

Thank you also to the marvelous team that looks after this net: VA7FT Tim Net Control on Friday Session; AC9QM - Rik Net Logger on Wednesday Session; KD9TQH - Bob Assistant Net Control; M6INJ - Pete Assistant Net Control and Forum Coordinator; M7SBC - Andy Net Logger on Friday Session.; W7CPT - Jim Assistant Net Control . Thank you all for your great work.
